Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) / Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Overview:
Canada and Associates, LLC is seeking a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) to provide expert behavioral health services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The LBS will develop, implement, and oversee behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide supervision and training to staff. This role involves working closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for clients.
- Implement and monitor treatment plans to address behavioral challenges and skill deficits using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Provide direct behavioral support and intervention in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.
- Train and supervise Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) and other support staff to ensure treatment fidelity and efficacy.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on client progress and behavior, making data-driven decisions to modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to create and maintain a consistent and supportive treatment environment.
- Conduct parent and caregiver training sessions to promote skill generalization and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, and adhere to ethical guidelines established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and able to work in the United States.
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or a related field.
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Behavior Specialist.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clearances as required by Pennsylvania law (e.g., Child Abuse, Criminal Background, FBI Fingerprinting).
Working Conditions:
- This position involves working in various settings, including client homes, schools, and community locations.
- May require physical activities such as bending, lifting, and engaging in play activities with clients.
- Must be able to handle behavioral incidents with professionalism and composure.
Behavior Health Technician (BHT)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Overview:
Canada and Associates, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. The BHT will provide direct support and therapeutic services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This role involves implementing treatment plans designed by Behavior Analysts, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and promoting skill development and positive behavior changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and/or Liscenesed Behavior Specialist.
- Provide one-on-one or group support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.
- Collect and record accurate data on client progress and behaviors.
- Assist in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Utilize ABA techniques such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members to ensure coordinated and consistent care.
- Participate in training sessions, supervision, and team meetings to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal laws, including HIPAA, and adhere to ethical guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and able to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation.
